Fundamentals of BMPs

• Workshop contents include:   

  • Introduction to ME’s BMP manual, Maine Forest Service BMP monitoring program and the Silvicultural Exemption for forestry.
  •  Overview of BMP practices
  • Envisioning BMPs as a system.

• Workshop format

  – Generally ½ day of presentations in person or virtual format followed by ½ day of field exercises viewing and discussing examples of topics introduced in the morning sessions.

• Prerequisites required – None
